According to a report on NHL.com Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty has injured his knee in an off-season workout. The team did not disclose how Pacioretty hurt his knee, only stating that it occurred in Florida, which is a known Jazzercise hotbed.Regardless of how the injury occurred Max Pacioretty is an elite NHL sniper. Last year he racked up an impressive 37 goals to make it 3 straight seasons of at least 30 goals. However, injuries have been an issue for the stand-out player. He ended this past season dealing with a concussion and the 2013-2014 season saw him deal with an appendectomy and hamstring issues. Also, back in 2011 he got the Hacksaw Jim Duggan treatment when he was turn-buckled by Zdeno Chara and received a concussion and vertebra injury.
Pacioretty should return by the 2015-2016 season start or at the latest within the first few weeks. The Canadiens will surely miss his scoring touch if he has a setback during recovery and is out for a prolonged period of time. As of this afternoon no Jazzercise studios in Florida have responded to any of my emails requesting information on his participation.
