(Source: NBCSports.com) – The Boston Bruins and Loui Eriksson aren’t close to a new deal, so the forward is expected to hit the free agent market, according to TVA’s Renaud Lavoie. Lavoie reports that the Bruins and Eriksson can’t see eye-to-eye on the length of the contract. A few days ago, Eriksson’s agent admitted that he was still waiting on a new offer from the Bruins. It looks like the two sides are far apart, whether an updated proposal came or not.
So predictable and so embarrassing all in one. Seriously, this is absolutely maddening. I’m not going to ramble on and on about this because it’s so obvious how the Loui situation should have been handled at the trade deadline that even an NHL 16 general manager on Xbox One could have figured it out.
Don Sweeney should have moved Loui at the trade deadline for the best possible package because the Bruins were never going to be able to pay him $6+ million per year for 6 years which is what some franchise (Vancouver?) will do on July 1st. Am I missing something here? Holy hell this disaster of a front office is fucking annoying.
But hey, at least now the Tyler Seguin trade shakes out to be Seguin for Joe Morrow and Jimmy Hayes.
We’re living in a black n’ gold nightmare right now and I’m not sure when it’ll end.
