This is it. Game 7. This stresses me out more than anything in this world, but damn if this isn’t the best thing in all of sports. I’m nervous, I’m excited, there’s just all these emotions going on right now. That means we should have some beer to settle down, right kids? Okay.

Here’s the deal; B’s win, they get Tampa on Saturday. B’s lose, they go home and get ready for the first 18 of the year. It’s pretty clear to me that Babcock, one of the most stereotypical Canadians there is (I can say that, I’m French-Canadian), can see that Charlie McTruckAvoy isn’t 100% and is taking advantage of that slight lack of speed and mobility on D when he and Big Z are out there. And in the past I loved how Cassidy didn’t always go for the typical matchups you’d expect like Claude did, instead just letting the other team deal with whatever he has out there. But tonight with the B’s owning the last change we’ve gotta watch for matchups, and McAvoy, a bit more.

It’s gonna be a hell of a game and I gotta keep positive, which is quite hard for this guy. When I do get negative, I think of a corny quote from a statistician I know from my high schools 1996 Vermont State Championship team. On the pregame television coverage she said:

“They can win it. It’s just a matter of will they.”

Cracks me up everytime. Now on to the beer…

Matt Zhe (@mtz1313) hit us up tonight on Twitter with his early #BeerForTheGame selection with a nice Hill Farmstead beer, Anna. This got me thinking go big or go home, right? With Matt chiming in, it drove me to my beer cellar, and I’ve decided to go big tonight too. Thank you, Matt.

Tonight I’m drinking a 2010 Cantillion Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio. This is my last bottle of this guy so I’m quite excited. This beauty has a little green apple flavor, super low carbonation, some pleasant funk and oak, and a tiny bit of bitterness with very low acidity to the dry finish. It clocks in at 5.0% ABV and a gorgeous light golden hue. I’ll be sure to pick more of this up when I’m the Netherlands in a month or two.

That’s it! That’s all I got. Go get those beers and get ready!!!
